About us
Archer & Partners is an independent estate agent, established in 2001 specialising in the sale of residential property. Over the years, Archer & Partners have built a superb reputation for providing a friendly and professional estate agency service without the sales pressure environment. Our office is located in Polegate and though the majority of our properties are sold local to this area, we have achieved many sales in the surrounding Eastbourne districts, the downland villages and Hailsham. We are also very thankful for receiving repeat business from previous buyers and sellers over the years with many kind recommendations from the local community and other local businesses. Archer & Partners popularity is down to our experience, honest and professional advice along with quality marketing and in our opinion, not to complicate matters and keep the process as simple as possible.
The office is located in Polegate High Street close to the railway station and bus services. If you are travelling by car, there is currently limited free parking at the railway station car park.
Our opening hours are 9.00am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 4.00pm on Saturdays. If you need to contact us outside of these hours, then there is a messaging service or please email.
The office has undergone refurbishment to provide a modern, bright and relaxed atmosphere to discuss all your property requirements. Often many of our customers, past and present, enjoy a visit to the office to chat about various matters, whether its in relation to the property business or anything else. We're always happy to have discussions and everyone is welcome.

David started in estate agency in 1990 and after working for a corporate company, David opened Archer & Partners with Graeme Archer in 2001. Graeme decided to retire as a partner and director of the business in 2017, leaving David to build on the success working together over 16 years. David originally started his career as a trainee negotiator in Peacehaven, Seaford and Newhaven. As the years moved on David gained further experience working in Eastbourne and Hailsham however, Polegate and the surrounding area remains close to David, who enjoys working with the friendly and local community.

Anita Baker
Sales Assistant
Anita joined Archer & Partners in June 2023 after spending 12 years managing primary school kitchens in Eastbourne. Anita is really enjoying learning about the property business and has already settled nicely building friendly relationships with both sellers and buyers, where communication is a top priority. Anita prides herself on her honesty and reliability, and believes that everything happens for a reason.

Graeme retired from being a Director of Archer & Partners in 2017 and now works part time for David and is able to provide his valuable expertise to clients on all aspects of residential sales.

Ombudsman Scheme
As a consumer it is very important that when you come to sell your property you choose an agent who is a member of a redress scheme. We are members of the Ombudsman Scheme, which is an independent service for dealing with disputes between member agencies and consumers.
We also believe that it is so important that any practising estate agent must have a qualification to be able to work within the industry. At Archer & Partners we can confirm that David Shelton has The Level 3 Qualification For Residential Sales and other sales staff are also in the process of obtaining qualifications.
Charities and Good Causes
Since opening in 2001, Archer & Partners have been supporting many charities and good causes by raising funds from our photocopying service and our personal donations. Over the years we have raised monies for Children with Cancer, St Wilfrid;s Hospice, JPK Project, Alzheimer's Association, Polegate and Willingdon Primary Schools, ambulance rapid response defibrillators, local under 13's football team and The Polegate Community Centre.
At Christmas 2020, we were able to donate to the local foodbank societies and where we can, we always like to support the local community.
